Given that it is a space used on a daily basis, refurbishing a bathroom must be taken as seriously as any public space in the house, like the living room or kitchen. Here are 4 tips that will make your refurbishing project much easier.
1. Choose a color palette: You should choose your desired color scheme from the beginning. You can choose neutral colors to give the room a classic look; dark colors will give the room a touch of seduction and mystery; bright colors will turn it fun and full of life. Keeping your color scheme in mind will help you choose tiles and accessories
2. Use up to three types of ceramics: It is ok to experiment with textures and colors across the different surfaces of your bathroom, however, this might cause you to go over your budget or grow tired of the way your room looks too quickly. Remember that “less is more”.
3. Highlight a ceramic feature to catch all eyes: Don’t be afraid to incorporate a dream piece into your walls or floors. It can be the focal point in the room and subtly bring life into it.
4. Select shower flooring carefully. Avoid using tiles with glossy or polished finishes as they tend to become slippery when wet and can lead to accidents. Textured tiles are ideal for showers as their texture is not affected by water. Mate finish is also great for showers as it allows incorporating many designs varying from concrete to wood.
